Luthando is the last born of 8 children, he lives with his mother and brothers and sisters. Although he doesn't live with his father he still has contact with him and they have a good relationship.

Luthando has a bright happy face and loves to play. He has a wonderful, gentle and caring nature which is amazing for a male of his age. He is great with crafts and can turn his hand to anything. He enjoys the fact that at this new school he can be valued and feel special because of his gift with his hands.

Like a lot of children in this area Luthando comes from a very poor family. What little money the family does get goes on food for the 8 hungry, growing children.

It is very difficult for us as teachers to turn any child away from the school, especially for issues such as money. We accepted Luthando into the school with a view to getting him sponsored. He mother comes to school everyday to help run our healthy food tuck shop.With your help we can ensure that Luthando is able to stay at this school and get the opportunities in life he truly deserves.
